Spring Visitors

May 22, 2013 by

A busy busy springtime with visits from our friends and family up north. Grandpa Don (Cindy’s Dad) and Grandma Jean of Richmond, VA haven’t seen the girls in about 3 years.  So this was a lovely reunion.  Cindy and Jim met up with Don and Jean in September in Dallas for a Cowboys game.  Jim, a Patriots fan, is still keeping that visit quiet. They came for just a weekend, so the visit was short but sweet, full of time in the pool, games, smores and catching up! That same week, Cindy’s college pal, Rick, and his family came.  Wonderful to see his twins growing up, his fun wife and her mom.  The gang spent the day in the pool.  The girls loved playing with little kids! So come on down.      ...

Piano Girl

Caroline, age 7, has begun her musical career.  With an interest in piano, coupled with the discovery of a talented retired piano teacher, Caroline has begun plunking away.  Jim and Cindy lucked into a 1941 Wurlitzer upright piano through a couple from their church, St. Paul’s.  Every once in a while, Cindy sneaks in and plays too.  She’s dusting off her piano skills from her childhood!  And then there’s Jim, who plays by ear, and just has the incredible talent to pick up an instrument and just play.                                          ...

Jim and Cindy’s children got to spend some time together.  A wonderful feeling to see Jim’s sons, Trevor, 24, and Andrew, 22, share some laughs with the girls.  Trevor of Boston, and Andrew of Providence, Rhode Island, visited Florida in December taking in a NFL Patriots/Dolphins game, and spending quality time with their Dad.  The three men are incredibly talented on a variety of guitars.  Everyone is hoping for another reunion during this upcoming...

Hoppy Easter

Beautiful day full of sunshine, Easter eggs and plenty of sugar! The Easter Bunny was good to the girls loading them up with chocolate, jelly beans, peeps and toys.  The adventure of the Easter Egg hunt is so much fun.  Nothing makes Easter Sunday complete without service at St. Paul’s Church.  A beautiful service with Carly and Caroline in their Sunday best.  Fortunately our babysitter helped out with Chloe so that Cindy, Jim and the girls could enjoy church....

Splish Splash

The pool is open.  After months of watching digging, plumbing, electrical, tiling and then…..the water!  10,000 gallons of it! The inaugural swim took place in mid-March on a rainy evening but no one seemed to care!  The spa was bubbling and heated, while the main pool was gorgeous to take a plunge into.  While the process of building a pool was time consuming and stressful, the finished product is perfect.  Come  by for a...
